50/50

About This Coffee

The 50/50 blend combines equal parts natural and washed process coffees from Thailand, specifically from the Tak and Chiang Rai provinces at 1300-1500 meters altitude. The washed component provides a clean, crisp foundation with inherent sweetness, while the natural component adds vibrant, fruit-forward complexity. This medium roast coffee features tasting notes of dried apricot, coconut sugar, toasted almond, and elderberry. It is specifically recommended for espresso preparation.

Left Hand Roasters

Left Hand Roasters was founded in 2018 as a social impact coffee brand working directly with 15 farms across five provinces of Northern Thailand. The company's origin traces to 2005, when founder Dustin Joseph was gifted green beans by a Lisu village farmer in Mae Hong Son, sparking a long relationship with Thai coffee growing communities. Left Hand sources from farmers who practice organic methods and regenerative agriculture, and maintains full transparency on pricing, tracing each coffee back to the specific farmer and the amount they were paid. Beyond traditional roasted coffee, the company produces byproducts like coffee blossom and cascara, extending value across the entire harvest. It is a roaster built on the premise that Thai specialty coffee deserves a place alongside the world's more recognized origins.
