Ace of Spades is a combination of 2 coffees roasted slow and dark to capture natural flavors from the origins combined with the flavors created by dark roasting. This is Oceana Coffee's house dark roast blend, designed with coffees that can handle the heat of dark roasting.
Amy and Scott Angelo founded Oceana Coffee Roasters in Tequesta, Florida in 2009, beginning with a DIY popcorn maker before evolving their equipment as the operation expanded. A 7 kilogram Diedrich in 2011 provided their first purpose built roaster, and today they operate a Giesen roaster that enables greater production capacity and precision. Scott holds certification as an Arabica Q Grader and maintains 15 year relationships with brokers and farms, sourcing exclusively from the top 5 percent of coffees worldwide. Recognition includes a Silver Medal at the Golden Bean World Series and Scotts selection as Overall Best Roaster at the 2016 Golden Bean North America competition, acknowledging the roasterys pursuit of excellence.
