This single origin coffee is from Kenya, specifically from the Kamagogo processing station in Kagumoini, Muranga district in central Kenya. The station is part of the Kiru cooperative, which serves approximately 1,000 smallholder coffee farmers. The coffee is grown at 1,800 meters above sea level in red volcanic soils rich in minerals. The region receives approximately 1,200mm of annual rainfall with temperatures ranging from 13 to 24°C. The coffee is washed processed and features varieties SL-28, SL-34, Ruiru-11, and Batian. Flavor notes include guava, red currant, cherry, with a sweet and juicy character.
