Alo Coffee Special Washed Ethiopia

Glyph Supply Co

About This Coffee

This coffee is sourced from Tamiru Tadesse and his team at Alo Coffee in the Bensa region of Sidama, Ethiopia, grown at 2,400–2,500 meters above sea level. The variety is 74158, processed using a refined washed method that skips traditional fermentation. A unique protocol involves cycling the parchment between drying beds and a cool room across multiple stages until reaching 11% moisture, with hourly turning to ensure uniform drying. Tasting notes include blackcurrant, plum, and jasmine, with a juicy, round mouthfeel.

Glyph Supply Co

Glyph Supply Co is a collaborative co roasting and cafe concept that opened at 111 Somerset on Orchard Road, bringing rare indie specialty coffee to a stretch of the city otherwise dominated by chain outlets. The roastery sources beans directly from origin with the aim of benefiting both farmers and consumers, and serves as the official Singapore distributor for Stronghold Roasters, the high tech Korean roasting machines. Glyph's space is designed as a community hub where other local roasters and brands are regularly hosted for collaborations, cuppings, and knowledge sharing sessions, and its Stronghold S7 Pro sample roaster is available for anyone in the trade to use. A sister bakery, Dough Coffee, supplies the pastry counter, while the main roastery and green bean storage operate from a separate facility at Tai Seng Street.
