This coffee is from Ethiopia's Sidama region, specifically the Bensa area, grown at 2401 meters above sea level. It features the 74158 variety and is processed using a natural method with Light-Deprived Environment (LDE) drying, where cherries slowly mature and dry in dark rooms with controlled ventilation. Harvested in 2025, this coffee exhibits flavor notes of jasmine, muscat grape, and jewel melon with a juicy texture. The LDE process nurtures deeper sweetness, refined balanced acidity, and layered complexity. Alo Coffee won first place at the 2021 Ethiopia Cup of Excellence, founded by Sidama Bensa-born Tamiru Tadesse to better connect exceptional local coffees with the market.

Named after Chiu's two daughters, the roastery has evolved from equipment distribution into a comprehensive coffee company offering thoughtfully sourced beans, innovative products, and all-embracing services that elevate coffee beyond commodity status.
