A single-origin coffee from the Limmu region of Oromia, Ethiopia. This medium-light roast features a soft sweetness reminiscent of marzipan, bright acidity with citrus notes similar to lemon, and subtle spice notes of clove. The coffee is versatile, suitable for pour-over brewing as well as espresso preparation.
Stephanie Welter Krause founded Swelter Coffee Roasters in 2020, originally based in El Cerrito, California, before relocating operations to Tailwind Roasting, a co roastery facility in Chicago. Swelter sources coffee that is women produced or women led throughout the supply chain, working with suppliers including Artisan Coffee Imports, Mighty Peace Coffee, Bean Voyage, and a family farm called Santa Marta in Guatemala. All coffee is roasted to order in small batches to minimize waste. The business is woman owned and operates under the principle of coffee by women, for everyone.
