Single origin decaf coffee from Mexico's Sierra Mazateca region. Decaffeinated using the Mountain Water process at a facility in Veracruz, utilizing mineral water from Pico de Orizaba (5,636 meters above sea level). The chemical-free decaffeination process uses high pressure filtration to gradually remove caffeine before beans are re-dried and packed. Named after Awilix, the goddess of the night, this coffee is roasted to the darker end of medium for espresso and carries remarkable character with bundles of sweetness.
