Golden State Coffee was founded in 2012 as a roasting operation in Southern California, spending its first seven years focused on distribution before opening a location in Placentia, Orange County, in 2019. The roastery is led by Eric Scott, who built the business on specialty grade sourcing and a philosophy that supports both traditional and progressive approaches to coffee preparation.
