This coffee is sourced from smallholder farmers delivering cherries to the Beshasha washing station in the Jimma zone of south-western Ethiopia. Grown at elevations of 1,900–2,100 meters above sea level, the coffee is cultivated organically under native forest shade using traditional low-input farming methods. Cherries are selectively handpicked at peak ripeness, depulped, and fermented in water for 36–48 hours before being thoroughly washed and dried slowly on raised beds. This washed coffee reflects the clean, elegant profile typical of south-western Ethiopia, with clarity and balance shaped by the region's fertile soils, cool climate, and slow cherry maturation.
