East Crema Coffee

East Crema Coffee is based in Madrid, Spain. Founded by Alberto Velarde, the first store opened in October 2020 in Madrid's Justicia neighborhood, and the brand has since expanded rapidly across Spain with locations in Barcelona, Bilbao, Donostia, Seville, Valencia, and Zaragoza. The name draws inspiration from Japanese coffee culture's meticulous approach, and the tagline "It's All About Specialty Coffee" captures the single minded focus. East Crema imports, roasts, and distributes its own specialty coffee from a dedicated Madrid roastery facility and Coffee Lab headquarters opened in 2023, sourcing from Colombia, Brazil, Ethiopia, Kenya, and other origins. The operation also produces ready to drink cold brew in cans and exclusive cookie varieties like Fuku and Ebisu alongside artisan bakery products. As part of Spain's growing third wave movement, East Crema has built a strong following with over 21,000 Instagram followers and continues to open new locations at pace.
