This coffee is from the Cerrado Mineiro region in Brazil, grown at altitudes between 800-1200 meters. It features the Acaia Cerrado variety and is processed using the pulped natural method. The flavor profile includes brown sugar, chocolate, and nutty notes with a full body. The region's coffee farming history began thriving in the 1970s when farmers relocated from Parana state after frost damage, and today producers have passed their farms and regional knowledge through several generations.
Leif Sung An and Clifford Park founded Stereoscope Coffee in Los Angeles in 2013, driven by the belief that coffee is about more than tasting profiles and processing methods. They roast on a Probat P12 out of a warehouse in the Arts District, seeking out distinctive varieties and processing techniques that tell a story. Their approach uses the platform of specialty coffee to build fair, lasting relationships with producers while creating experiences that go beyond the cup. Stereoscope has been featured in the SCA Coffee Design Awards for its visual identity and packaging.
