About This Coffee

This single-origin coffee comes from Fazenda Matão in the Mococa (Mogiana) region of São Paulo, Brazil, grown at 800–940 m. Multiple varieties are cultivated including Mundo Novo, Catuaí, Rubi and Arara. The ripe cherries are processed as Natural and dried 10–20 days on large concrete patios before final drying and storage in wooden silos. The cup is full-bodied and balanced with notes of dark chocolate and hazelnut. Available roasted for filter and espresso.

Founded in 2015 by Tobias Stehle and Michael Menrad, District Five operates as Ingolstadt's first specialty coffee roastery. The production facility sits in nearby Manching. The roastery maintains direct relationships with South American producers and holds organic certification.
