This coffee is sourced from family-owned farms in the Mantiqueira de Minas region within the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil, at 1,150 meters above sea level. The region holds a protected designation of origin (PDO) and is comprised of 25 municipalities with more than 9,000 producers, nearly 90% of whom are small producers organized through cooperatives. The variety is Mundo Novo, grown in clay mineral soils and processed using a pulped natural (honey) method, then dried in the sun.
