About This Coffee

Busasa is a natural-processed single-origin coffee from Buhinyuza, Muyinga in northern Burundi, grown at 1,700–1,800 meters altitude. The coffee comes from the Busasa Washing Station, which collects cherries from ten surrounding hills and operates its own plantation with over 7,000 Arabica trees. The Red Bourbon variety features floral notes, spritzily citrus fruit, light red berries, with a clear, silky body and bright acidity. Light to medium roast, suitable for filter brewing methods.

Seekind Coffee

Seekind is a specialty roastery in Ravensburg, Germany, founded in 2020 by André Kirberg and co founder Levi with the aim of bringing specialty coffee to Upper Swabia. André trained at the Kaffeeinstitut Goran Huber and went on to win the German Coffee Roasting Championship in both 2022 and 2023, beating over a dozen competitors each time. The roastery sources exclusively specialty grade green coffee from importers committed to sustainable cultivation and fair pricing, working with origins including Brazil, Colombia and Rwanda. Seekind describes its sourcing approach as relationship coffee, built on close ties to producers and as few middlemen as possible. Every roasting profile is refined until the natural character of the origin comes through, with the full range available through the online shop as both filter and espresso roasts. The roastery also offers barista training and event catering in the Ravensburg region.
