This Washed Gesha is from Chevas Coffee Estate in Boquete, Panama, grown at 1600 meters above sea level and produced by Jose Luis Chevas. The coffee is a blend of two washed Gesha lots: the first undergoes slow dehydration in a cold room followed by controlled drying in a dark room, while the second follows a traditional washed process. The variety is Gesha, known for its delicate floral character. Tasting notes include magnolia, mandarin orange, lemon, and stonefruit. This light roast coffee offers the elegance and character that Panamanian Gesha is celebrated for.
Founded in 2020 at the onset of the COVID 19 pandemic, Moonwake Coffee Roasters emerged from the passion of two former tech engineers, Ming Wood from Tesla and Mabel Yeung from Meta. What began as Ming's personal coffee project within Tesla's internal coffee club evolved into a full roastery operation after both founders chose to leave their tech careers to pursue coffee full time between 2023 and 2024.
