This coffee is a blend of coffees from the COCARIVE cooperative in the Mantiqueira de Minas region of Brazil's Minas Gerais state. The coffees are processed as anaerobic naturals, giving them a more fruity and winey profile than traditional naturals. The blend was selected by Wellington Pereira (aka Baba), ex Brazilian cupping Champion, who chose some of these coffees to create this newly named 'Baba's Wine Blend'. The Mantiqueira de Minas area was the first to get a geographical indication in the Brazilian coffee industry and is known for its high-altitude coffees ranging from 900 to 1,500 meters, with a predominance of yellow varieties. All coffees meet minimum 84 SCA points.
