Blind Tiger Coffee Roasters was founded on November 4, 2014 by Roberto Torres in Tampa's historic Ybor City neighbourhood. All coffee is roasted daily in house on a 1950s era 7.5 kilogram GW Barth roaster powered by natural gas, with the team hand selecting small batches for espresso, pour over, and cold brew. The business has expanded to seven locations across the Tampa Bay area, and Torres has been named among Florida Trend's 500 Influentials twice. Blind Tiger was voted Tampa Bay's Best Coffee Shop and ranked fifth on Florida State University's Seminole 100 list of fastest growing alumni led businesses. Packaging includes compostable and carbon neutral recyclable options.
