Single-origin coffee from Colombia, a major coffee producing region in South America. Coffee is cultivated on small farms (typically less than 5 acres) in cool mountain climates suited for specialty coffee. Beans are processed at micro-wet mills and dried on site before final processing at an offsite dry mill. Main harvest occurs October through January, with a secondary fly crop April through June. Tasting notes include spicy, sweet, and balanced characteristics.
Founded in the early 1980s in a restored farmhouse located 25 miles from Glacier National Park near the Continental Divide, Montana Coffee Traders has roasted arabica coffees for more than 40 years. Operating multiple cafés throughout the region while maintaining a roastery equipped with Loring and Sivitz equipment, the company has built its reputation on consistency and quality in one of America's most distinctive coffee roasting locations. The roastery's vintage farmhouse setting and proximity to pristine wilderness embody a roasting philosophy deeply connected to place.
