This coffee is a single origin from Colombia, specifically from the Planadas region in Tolima. Produced by approximately 175 smallholder farming families organized through ASOPEP and ASCI'SP associations, this natural process microlot is made from 100% Caturra variety. The coffee grows at altitudes between 1500-2150 meters and is sun-dried on raised beds under controlled conditions to 11% moisture content. It presents a juicy, boozy profile with blackberry and cherry sweetness, characterized as funky and bold with layered complexity. The Caturra varietal is a natural mutation of Red Bourbon originating from Brazil.
