This coffee is from Finca Montreal in Planadas, Tolima, Colombia, grown by producer Duverney Cifuentes at 2,050 meters altitude. The variety is Sidra, with genetic lineage tracing directly to Juan Peña of Hacienda La Papaya in Ecuador. The coffee is washed processed with sequential anaerobic fermentation: 30 hours whole cherry followed by 30 hours submerged after pulping. Drying takes 20-25 days under parabolic shade on raised beds. Flavor notes include milk chocolate, tangerine, mango, Meyer lemon, and red fruit, with juicy acidity and creamy mouthfeel. The farm spans 54 hectares with 20 hectares maintained as natural forest. Harvest year is 2025.
