Colombia Maracay Natural is a single-origin coffee from Armenia, Quindio at 1,400-1,450 meters altitude. Produced by Luz Helena Salazar on the 8-hectare Maracay farm, this coffee features the Castillo variety. The cherries undergo selective hand-harvesting and careful sorting before a 45-hour aerobic fermentation. The coffee is dried to 9.5-11% moisture content. Tasting notes include fruity, tropical, high sweetness, and juicy characteristics with flavors of blackberry, fig rolls, and cherries.
