This organic coffee is sourced from ANEI, an organization of Native agroecological producers and farmers from the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta and Serranía del Perijá in Colombia. Founded in 1995 by Aurora Izquierdo, the first Arhuaca native woman to study in Bogotá, ANEI works to strengthen the organizational processes of indigenous and farmer communities while promoting food security and environmental sustainability. The coffee is produced and commercialized within a context of harmony and respect for mother earth. Cherries are picked ripe and wet processed before being brought to collection centers with guardiola drying facilities. Once dry, the coffee undergoes rigorous cupping and grading before export.
Dear Green Coffee Roasters was founded in 2011 in Glasgow, Scotland, by Lisa Lawson after a formative period working at Toby's Estate in Australia. The company is named after Glasgow's historic Gaelic nickname, "the dear green place," and sources exclusively specialty grade coffee through trusted importers and direct producer relationships, with Lawson personally visiting farms to verify ethical practices. Dear Green employs in house Q Graders to maintain strict quality control, only releasing coffees that meet its sensory standards. The roastery holds Certified B Corp status and prioritizes traceability, organic certification where possible, and sourcing from women producers.
