Liberty Coffee

Liberty Coffee was founded around 2010 by Terence Tay, a former commercial airline pilot who experienced a coffee epiphany in a Roman espresso bar and hung up his wings to become a roaster. His flying career had already taken him through London, Australia, Korea, and the United States, building a deep familiarity with specialty markets that now informs the company's sourcing from Kenya, Brazil, India, Indonesia, and beyond. The roastery runs a Loring Kestrel 35 alongside two classic Probatinos, and its day to day operations are led by co founder Diann Lee, a former banker turned roaster. Liberty has invested directly in Colombia's El Fenix rare varietal farm project through Raw Materials, an initiative that has helped some 660 farming families double their income since 2018, and the company operates locations in both Singapore and Johor Bahru, Malaysia.
