A medium roast single-origin coffee from Colombia, grown by smallholder producers on less than 5 acres in cool mountain climates. Coffee is harvested and processed at micro-wet mills, then dried on site before final processing at an offsite dry mill. The main harvest season runs October through January, with a fly crop between April and June. Tasting notes include nutty, crisp, and sweet characteristics.
Founded in the early 1980s in a restored farmhouse located 25 miles from Glacier National Park near the Continental Divide, Montana Coffee Traders has roasted arabica coffees for more than 40 years. Operating multiple cafés throughout the region while maintaining a roastery equipped with Loring and Sivitz equipment, the company has built its reputation on consistency and quality in one of America's most distinctive coffee roasting locations. The roastery's vintage farmhouse setting and proximity to pristine wilderness embody a roasting philosophy deeply connected to place.
