This Colombian Organic Coffee is a light-medium roast crafted with certified organic beans from Colombia. It features a beautifully balanced profile with notes of blood orange, green apple, and cacao nibs. The coffee offers a full-bodied mouthfeel with a smooth, clean finish and low-delicate citrus acidity. Aromatics include caramel, lime zest, and nougat. This versatile roast is excellent for drip, Chemex, or pour-over brewing methods.
Blind Dog Coffee was founded in 2007 by Mark Berry in Gardnerville, Nevada. Mark developed cancer as a young child that ultimately threatened his eyesight, and by age 49 he became legally blind, ending a 30 year career and prompting him to learn professional coffee roasting. The roastery uses 100% USDA Certified Organic beans with a GMO free, no additives guarantee, and sources ethically in support of fair labour practices. A portion of all proceeds goes to the Northern Nevada Children's Cancer Foundation, reflecting Mark's personal connection to childhood cancer. The business operates a roastery headquarters in Gardnerville alongside a coffee shop and café in nearby Minden.
