This Costa Rica Cafe Vida is a single origin coffee sourced from hundreds of small-holding producers across 15 micromills in Costa Rica. It is a washed-processed coffee that challenges the expectation that washed coffees cannot come from this country. The coffee presents a beautiful balance between soft fruit notes and sweet, nutty pastry flavors, with fresh apricot at the forefront, light sweetness, delicate acidity, and warm chewy monkey bread with citrus glaze and walnuts. Cat and Cloud was founded in 2016 in Santa Cruz, California by Jared Truby, Chris Baca, and Charles Jack all former barista champions and coffee competition veterans. The roastery runs a Loring S15 Falcon.
