This is a single-origin coffee from Costa Rica, processed by Coope Dota, a carbon-neutral coffee mill operating since the 1960s and supported by nearly 1,100 local growers. The mill achieved carbon-neutral status in 2011 through sustainability efforts including using coffee waste for compost and recycled parchment for fuel. This washed coffee offers a dark roast profile with flavor notes of cocoa, baked apple, and butter candy.
Rob and Vikki Hodge founded Rave Coffee in Cirencester in 2011. The roastery moved into a renovated building on Phoenix Way in spring 2023, housing two Loring roasters, a 70kg and the original 35kg. They roast to order daily and have accumulated over 24,000 five star reviews. The Independent voted their subscription the Best Overall Coffee Subscription in 2024. Rave is a 1% for the Planet member and has planted over 22,000 trees through a partnership with One Tree Planted. Their range covers blends, single origins, pods, brew bags, cold brew, and green beans for home roasting.
