Honoroast Specialty Coffee Roasters

Nasser Al Naemi and Maryam Al Bader founded Honoroast Specialty Coffee Roasters in 2019 in Doha, Qatar, creating the roasting arm of their earlier venture Flat White Specialty Coffee, which they had launched in 2016 as Qatar's first third wave coffee shop after both founders studied the local market and obtained SCA certification while still working in their legal careers. Maryam worked as Legal Counsel at Qatar Foundation and Hamad Bin Khalifa University for eight years before leaving to focus on the roastery and cafe operations full time, while Nasser continues to manage the strategic side of the business alongside his position at Qatar Foundation, a dual commitment that reflects the pair's belief that coffee and community building deserve the same intellectual rigor they brought to law. The roastery is located within Flat White's branch in Tawar Mall and is led day to day by SCA certified Head Roaster Kristina working closely with Roaster Jecyrel, and the roasted beans are available from any Flat White branch or through the online shop. Honoroast works directly with farmers worldwide and has hosted cupping events in collaboration with embassies including those of Costa Rica, El Salvador, and the Dominican Republic, using coffee diplomacy to strengthen cooperation and facilitate direct trade relationships. The founders' vision is to be among the best coffee operations in the world by bridging the gap between Qatari and international coffee markets, powered by a belief in the ability of coffee to connect, empower, and inspire people across cultures.
