About This Coffee

This coffee is from the Piesan farm and micro mill La Lia in Santa Rosa de Leon Cortez, Tarrazu, Costa Rica. Produced by brothers Luis and Oscar Monge at altitudes between 1,900-2,000 meters above sea level. The coffee is SL28 variety processed using the Red Honey method. The farm has been in the Monge family for almost 70 years, with the micro mill established in 2008 and named after their mother Lia. The 60-hectare farm is divided into 7 plots, with the highest parts reaching 2,100 meters where cherries ripen slowly, resulting in high sugar concentration. The coffee features flavor notes of tropical fruits and wild berries.
