Cotswold Blend

About This Coffee

This blend features naturally processed Brazilian coffee from the Ibiraci region in southern Minas Gerais, combined with washed coffee from the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The Ibiraci region, meaning "the tree mother" in Tupi language, produces coffee with high natural sweetness due to ideal altitude, rainfall and temperature conditions. The natural processing method enhances the sweetness, creating milk chocolate, maple and nutty tasting notes. The DRC component comes from the village of Kalungu near Lake Kivu, processed at a washing station serving 380 smallholder farmers (44% women) and part of CAPCKI, a 'coffee for peace' cooperative. This chocolatey-rich, sweet and indulgent blend is balanced and works particularly well as an espresso base.

Fire and Flow Coffee Roasters

Fire and Flow was started by childhood friends Callum, Charlotte, and Phil in the Cotswolds, near Cirencester. The roastery won a GloucestershireLive Innovation Award in 2021 and placed second in Cotswold Eats' Best Producers awards. They consciously source specialty coffee through ethical partnerships with producers who maintain sustainable practices and fair wages. In 2024 they opened an espresso bar at the roastery, open seven days a week, with food served by The Yolk Folk. The team also provides wholesale partnerships, barista training, and equipment solutions.
