About This Coffee

This 100% Arabica coffee is sourced from various producers across Central America and South America. It is a blend of both washed and naturally processed coffees from high altitude volcanic regions. The washed process retains fruit-like flavours from high-grown mountain coffees cultivated in volcanic soils. The natural or dry process dries the coffee beans inside the cherries, allowing sugars and oils to penetrate the bean and amplify body. Roasted to the mid-point of the first crack, this coffee provides red fruit taste with light citrus and milk chocolate undertones. The varieties include Bourbon, Catuai, Caturra, and Mundo Novo.

Grain & Grind

Grain & Grind opened its first coffee shop at the start of 2018 beneath the old Victoria Infirmary buildings on Battlefield Road in Glasgow. A roaster was installed in that original shop and later relocated to Inverness, where master roaster John now hand roasts in small batches across a range of over twenty offerings. The company has grown to eight café locations spread between Glasgow and Inverness. They also run a wholesale supply business providing beans, brew bags, and equipment to cafés, restaurants, and hotels, partnering with San Remo for espresso machines and Mahlkönig for grinders.
