About This Coffee

Gold Honey processed coffee from El Salvador. The honey process involves leaving some of the fruit mucilage on the bean during washing, imparting sweetness with a hint of fruit while using less water than traditional washing. This coffee features flavors of milk chocolate and brown sugar with moderate acidity and a heavy body. The coffee is roasted to a City Roast level, on the light side of medium, to highlight its natural sweetness. It is Fair Trade certified and won a medal at Golden Bean North America 2019.

Blind Coffee Roasters

Blind Coffee Roasters was founded in October 2012 by Tim Howard, whose coffee journey began in 1983 as an associate roaster in San Francisco's coffee industry. Based in Hillsboro, Oregon, the roastery operates a custom designed 20 kilogram machine from Primo Roasting Equipment in Long Beach and specialises in low acidity coffee using medium City Roast profiles that preserve origin driven characteristics. The approach has earned 49 medals at the Golden Bean The Americas competition over the past decade, including a finish as the top Oregon roaster in 2023 and 9th overall in North America. Howard won his first gold medal in 2024 and followed it with a bronze at the Golden Bean World Championship the same year.
