This decaf coffee comes from Jimma, Ethiopia-based grower Abdo Aba Mecha. It consists of both natural and washed coffees decaffeinated using the Ethyl Acetate method, a process that preserves more of the natural qualities of the coffee. The green coffee is gently steamed and soaked in a bath of water and Ethyl Acetate, which naturally binds to and extracts caffeine as the coffee dries. The coffee is smooth and sweet with mild acidity, featuring dried fruit and cacao flavor notes.
