This Ethiopian coffee from Israel Degefa of Kerchanshe Coffee comes from Bale Mountain Farm at 1700-2100 meters elevation. Ethiopian heirloom varietals are processed using natural processing followed by Swiss Water decaffeination. The coffee exhibits mild acidity, medium body, and sweet aroma with tasting notes of sweet caramel, slight citrus, hazelnut, dried berries, and chocolate. Harvested October through January.
Carol and Eric Blanchet established Talking Crow Coffee Roasters in 2017 in Springdale, Arkansas. The roastery specializes in single origin specialty decaf coffees, sourced exclusively through the Swiss Water Process from Guatemala, Colombia, Mexico, and Brazil, with every lot third party certified mold free. They roast on an electric fluid bed roaster, a technology chosen to minimize carbon emissions compared to traditional drum roasters. All coffee is roasted to order in small batches Monday through Friday, with nothing more than a week off roast. Both Carol and Eric hold SCA Roaster Level 1 certification. The business is independently and women owned.
