Jampot Coffee Co

About This Coffee

This is a decaffeinated Congo Bourbon coffee from the Muungano Cooperative in South Kivu, Democratic Republic of the Congo. The cooperative brings together over 4,300 smallholder farmers working on steep, volcanic slopes between 1,400 and 2,100 meters above sea level. This single variety Bourbon lot is grown organically on small plots and processed centrally using the washed method. The coffee offers notes of maple, nougat, chocolate, and molasses, with a smooth, sweet, and quietly complex profile.

Jampot Coffee Co

Jampot Coffee Co. is the rebranded successor to The Gentlemen Baristas, which was founded in 2014 by Henry Ayers and Ed Parkes in London. The name pays homage to the Jamaica Wine House, nicknamed "The Jampot," where London's coffee culture first took root centuries ago. After the original company entered administration in early 2024, it was acquired by Origins 1450, the parent company of Qima Coffee, a global organization known for its work in coffee genetics and direct partnerships with smallholder farmers. The roastery operates from a 12,000 square foot facility in Stratford, London, and sources specialty arabica through Qima's vertically integrated supply chain, with a particular emphasis on Yemeni coffees. Ten percent of profits are pledged to coffee development projects worldwide through the Qima Foundation.
