DECAF

About This Coffee

Night Rider Decaf is a house decaf from the highlands of Papua New Guinea, sourcing coffees from Simbu Province and the Eastern Highlands. The limestone soils of Simbu and volcanic earth of the Eastern Highlands create a smooth, well-rounded cup. Grown by smallholder farmers, only the ripest cherries are hand-picked and sun-dried at origin. The coffee meets Paradise Mountain PSC B grade standards. Decaffeination uses the natural Water Ethyl Acetate process (Sugarcane method) in Bremen, where beans are steamed and washed with ethyl acetate derived from sugarcane to remove caffeine while preserving flavor. The varieties are Typica and Bourbon, grown at 1600-1850 meters altitude.
