Drupe (Filter & Espresso Blend)

Blueprint Coffee

About This Coffee

Drupe is a filter and espresso blend made up mainly of natural process coffees to achieve the fruity flavor of the coffee cherry. Named after the botanical term for stone fruit, it conveys the flavor and aroma of the fruit surrounding the coffee seed. Natural process involves sun-drying the harvested coffee cherry before separating the fruit from the seeds, resulting in a cup with syrupy body and berry fruit intensity. As espresso, Drupe expresses playful, fruity acidity and a syrupy body. When paired with milk, it evokes a cherry sundae. Flavor notes include cherry, plum, berry, apple, nectar, and wine with a lush body.

Blueprint Coffee

Blueprint Coffee was founded in 2013 by Mike Marquard, Mazi Razani, Kevin Reddy, Andrew Timko, Brian Levine, and Nora Brady in St. Louis, Missouri. The roastery moved into a dedicated HQ on 39th Street in April 2024, with capacity for 2,500 pounds per week and climate controlled storage for 35,000 pounds of green beans. The team sources from eight to ten countries annually, prioritising long term partnerships and fair pricing over chasing the highest cup scores, and pays farmers above market price. Four café locations across St. Louis serve the retail side, while wholesale orders are roasted Monday through Thursday and typically shipped within three days, often the same day. Blueprint's sourcing model focuses on creating a mutually beneficial loop among producers, staff, wholesale partners, and customers.
