Bocca Coffee

About This Coffee

This organic certified blend is composed of 50% Bolivia and 50% Indonesia. The Bolivia component comes from Ayni Coffee, produced by the Sajama Cooperative in Caranavi, La Paz, by 42 smallholder farmers focusing on sustainable farming and fair trade. The Indonesia component is from Sumatra Gayo Highlands, a triple-picked, organically certified wet-hulled lot grown by smallholder farmers in cooperatives. The wet-hulled (giling basah) processing method gives the coffee its distinctive deep, aromatic, and sweet flavor profile. The blend offers sweet notes of chocolate and hazelnut with balanced, round flavor notes and bolder, richer clarity.

Bocca Coffee

Bocca is one of the pioneers of the specialty coffee movement in the Netherlands, founded by two brothers. They were among the first to focus on direct trade and to roast coffee with a lighter, more nuanced style. Their philosophy is rooted in quality, sustainability, and a deep respect for the entire coffee chain, from the farmer to the final cup.
