About This Coffee

El Cerro is a 4 hectare farm owned by Efrain Carhuallocllo Salvador near the village of El Corazon in the Chirinos district of Cajamarca, Peru. This washed Gesha coffee grows at 1850-2000 meters altitude. The coffee is hand-picked, fermented for 24 hours, then washed and dried slowly over 25 days. Efrain placed 2nd in the first Cup of Excellence in Peru and has received multiple top 10 awards, including 9th place in 2024. The cup features sparkling citrus and stone fruit acidity with complex florals and elegant sweetness.
