This coffee is from Finca El Mango in Costa Rica, part of the Café Rivense del Chirripó family project. Located in the Brunca region and Chirripó microregion, the farm sits at altitudes between 1,300 and 2,000 meters in the volcanic highlands between Cerro de la Muerte and Cerro Chirripó mountains. The coffee is Catuai variety, a cross between Caturra and Mundo Novo. It undergoes honey anaerobic processing, where the outer skin is removed while sweet mucilage remains on the bean during controlled anaerobic fermentation in closed containers, followed by drying on raised beds. The cup features ripe mango, grapefruit, and dark plum notes with juicy citric acidity balanced by vanilla-like sweetness. The body is medium to full, smooth and silky.
Stow Coffee Roasters operates its roastery in Kamnik, with a cafe in Ljubljana serving as the public face of the brand. The focus is on freshness, quality sourcing, and creating a welcoming hub for Slovenia's growing specialty coffee community.
