This coffee is a Pink Bourbon variety from the El Mirador farm in the Huila region of Colombia, grown at an altitude of 1750 meters. It is a washed coffee that undergoes a unique fermentation process in plastic tanks for approximately 72 hours before being dried on raised sun beds. The flavor profile is characterized by notes of cherry blossom, navel orange, starfruit, and peach, offering a juicy, sweet, and balanced cup with a clean finish.
Founded in 2020 at the onset of the COVID 19 pandemic, Moonwake Coffee Roasters emerged from the passion of two former tech engineers, Ming Wood from Tesla and Mabel Yeung from Meta. What began as Ming's personal coffee project within Tesla's internal coffee club evolved into a full roastery operation after both founders chose to leave their tech careers to pursue coffee full time between 2023 and 2024.
