This coffee is a single-origin offering from the El Rejo farm in San José del Alto, Peru, produced by José “Pepe” Rivera and Mariagracia Echeandía. It is a Catuaí variety processed using the washed method. The cup is characterized by a crisp and bright profile with tasting notes of plum, cherry, and toasted almond, complemented by vibrant citric acidity and a hint of green apple.
Square Mile Coffee Roasters was founded in 2008 in London by James Hoffmann, the 2007 World Barista Champion, and Anette Moldvaer, the 2007 World Cup Tasters Champion. The roastery operates from Walthamstow in East London.
