Single-origin coffee from Guatemala, grown on a small parcel called El Sendero on the family farm near La Libertad. The farm has been in operation since 1958, currently managed by Maria Elena Vides de Ovalle and her son Renardo Ovalle. With most production steps handled directly on the farm, this coffee features tasting notes of marmalade, pomegranate, and sugar cane.
Brothers Jerad and Justin Morrison founded Sightglass Coffee in San Francisco in 2009, starting from a kiosk inside a 1924 warehouse in SoMa. The name comes from the viewing window on their vintage Probat roaster, a detail that captures the company's commitment to transparency at every stage of the process. Sightglass holds USDA organic certification through CCOF and sources most of its annual coffee from small farms following ecologically responsible practices. The Morrison brothers stepped down from leadership in 2024 after fifteen years, but the roasting philosophy they established, pairing mid century Probat equipment with careful, origin focused profiles, continues to define the operation.
