About This Coffee

Ethiopia Lalesa Gedeb is a single-origin coffee from the Gedeb region of Ethiopia, grown at an altitude of 2150–2200 meters on a 3.5-hectare farm owned by Ephtah Specialty Coffee. The coffee is cultivated naturally under shade trees, predominantly Ensete (false banana). It undergoes anaerobic fermentation in plastic barrels for nine days, followed by 13–18 days of drying. The farm grows traditional coffee varieties and the batch size is approximately 9,000 kg.

Mlsnacava

Mlsnacava is the roasting project of Šimon Staš, René Hauser, and Matúš Gulbiš, three colleagues better known in the Slovak coffee industry through their company STACOMB Coffee Consultants, which distributes premium equipment from brands like Victoria Arduino, Nuova Simonelli, and Acaia across the country. Based in Banská Bystrica in central Slovakia, the trio holds the distinction of being the only SCA certified trainers in the nation and among just three active Q Graders. They trained their roasting approach in Copenhagen and have built a technology focused operation with a long term goal of bringing a Loring roaster to Slovakia and establishing a shared roasting facility for the local community. Every coffee is selected without compromise, and the roastery's name reflects their worldview: a pursuit of flavor that leaves no room for shortcuts.
