This single origin coffee is from the Bona region of Ethiopia, grown at 2200 MASL by smallholder farmers associated with Alo Coffee, whose founder Tamiru Tadesse is from Sidama Bensa. The variety is Heirloom, processed using the washed method, and harvested in 2024. Roasted to a medium light level, it presents flavor notes of camellia, bergamot, and yulan magnolia tea. Alo Coffee won 1st place at the 2021 Ethiopia Cup of Excellence.
