Wesley Van Cott founded Nantucket Coffee Roasters in December 1993 on the Massachusetts island, beginning with a commitment to quality that has defined three decades of roasting. The roastery still relies on the same roasting machine that has been central to their operation since its inception, a testament to their belief in consistency and craftsmanship. Hand roasting beans in small batches allows them to specialize in limited and micro lots sourced directly from small farms across Africa, South America, and the Asia Pacific region. Beginning as a wholesale operation, the roastery has evolved to embrace retail relationships, building a loyal customer base that appreciates their meticulous approach to bringing origin characteristics to the cup.
