Etiopía Kabira

About This Coffee

This coffee is from the Kabira farm in Jimma, Ethiopia, managed by producer Mustefa Abakeno. Grown at an altitude of 2,000-2,100 meters on an 18-hectare estate in the Agaro region, it features heirloom varieties sourced from the Jimma research center. The coffee undergoes natural processing, with cherries dried with intact pulp for 24-27 days on raised African beds. The cup profile includes tasting notes of red fruits, chocolate, sweet lime, and coconut, with a round and balanced body that reflects Ethiopian coffee heritage. Roasted by Randall Coffee Roasters on a Giesen roaster specifically for Monkee Koffee.

Randall Coffee Roasters

Randall Coffee Roasters was founded in 2013 by Barry Randall and Miguel inside Mercado de Vallehermoso, one of Madrid's revitalised market halls. They were among the first micro roasteries in the city's specialty coffee scene. Single origin coffees are roasted weekly for freshness and supplied to several Madrid businesses. The operation also distributes premium equipment from brands like La Marzocco and Victoria Arduino, and provides consulting for new coffee space openings, covering everything from space planning to licensing.
