This coffee is from the Yeppo Village in Masha Woreda, Ethiopia, produced by Masha Farm. It is a natural processed coffee made from Heirloom variety arabica beans, grown at an altitude of 1650-1900 meters above sea level. The beans are roasted to a light level, resulting in tasting notes of Root Beer, Plum, and Baker's Chocolate.
Achilles Coffee Roasters was founded in 2015 by Chad Bell in San Diego, California, named after his son. What started as a modest outdoor coffee cart in the Gaslamp Quarter grew within a year into a leased space in Cortez Hill, and the business now operates five café locations across San Diego County. All coffee is roasted in small batches locally, using beans that carry Organic, Fair Trade, and Rainforest Alliance certifications alongside direct trade relationships where possible. The roastery maintains 12 rotating single origin selections sourced from around the globe, with an emphasis on precision brewing methods including weighed espresso shots.
