This coffee comes from Kawo Kamina farm in western Ethiopia, in the Sheka forest area located in the South Nations, Nationalities, and Peoples Region (SNNPR) near the South Sudan border. The cherries are hand-picked and dried on raised shaded beds at the Sheka washing station operated by Moplaco. Due to the rainy harvest season, drying takes longer than in other parts of Ethiopia, resulting in soft, deep cup profile with mature tropical fruit notes while preserving complex floral characteristics. The coffee is made from Heirloom varieties, which include both JARC varieties and regional local varieties.
