This coffee is a single-origin Arabica from the Sidamo region of Ethiopia, specifically from the Shantawene Village. Produced by Daye Bensa, a company founded by brothers Asefa and Mulugeta Dukamo, this coffee is grown by smallholder farmers. It is processed using the natural method, where ripe cherries are dried with their outer skin intact, allowing fruit sugars to impart a rich, sweet complexity to the beans. The flavor profile features notes of strawberry, cacao, and meyer lemon.
